O governo federal prorrogou por mais 30 dias o subsídio de R$ 0,44 por litro da gasolina, que seria encerrado neste sábado (25). A medida passa a valer a partir de domingo (26) e foi oficializada por meio de portaria publicada nesta semana.
O benefício foi criado para reduzir os impactos da alta do petróleo no mercado internacional sobre o preço dos combustíveis no Brasil. O subsídio é destinado a produtores e importadores e é operacionalizado pela Agência Nacional do Petróleo, Gás Natural e Biocombustíveis (ANP).
O subsídio ao diesel, de R$ 1,12 por litro, também permanece em vigor. A medida provisória que instituiu esse benefício teve a validade prorrogada pelo Congresso Nacional.
Segundo o governo, a prorrogação ocorre em meio à continuidade das tensões no Oriente Médio, fator que mantém a pressão sobre as cotações internacionais do petróleo. Além disso, o Conselho Nacional de Política Energética (CNPE) autorizou recentemente o aumento da mistura obrigatória de etanol anidro na gasolina para 32%, medida com validade inicial de 180 dias e que busca reduzir a dependência da gasolina derivada do petróleo.
