A Polícia Militar de Minas Gerais emitiu um alerta sobre um novo golpe que tem sido aplicado por meio do WhatsApp. A estratégia dos criminosos começa com o envio de uma foto em modo de visualização única, geralmente de conteúdo íntimo, com o objetivo de despertar a curiosidade da vítima.
Após a abertura da imagem, os golpistas passam a fazer ameaças e tentativas de extorsão. Em muitos casos, eles afirmam possuir registros ou capturas de tela que comprovariam o acesso ao conteúdo, utilizando a informação para pressionar a vítima. As abordagens costumam incluir mensagens insistentes, intimidações e exigências de pagamentos para evitar uma suposta exposição.
Segundo especialistas em segurança, a orientação é não interagir com mensagens enviadas por números desconhecidos, evitar abrir arquivos suspeitos e bloquear imediatamente contatos que apresentem comportamento ameaçador.
Em caso de tentativa de golpe, a recomendação é registrar a ocorrência junto às autoridades policiais.
