Uma operação da Polícia Militar realizada nesta quinta-feira (18) resultou na apreensão de armas de fogo, munições, aves silvestres e outros materiais no município de Rio Vermelho, no Vale do Rio Doce.
A ação faz parte da Operação Agrogerais Segura 2026 e foi desencadeada após denúncias de caça ilegal de animais silvestres e posse irregular de armas.
Com o apoio de militares das cidades de Materlândia e Sabinópolis, as equipes cumpriram mandados de busca em seis imóveis localizados na área urbana e na zona rural do município.
Durante a operação, os policiais apreenderam oito armas de fogo, 46 munições de diferentes calibres, 12 pássaros, três rádios comunicadores, um canhão utilizado para caça e uma corneta.
Três pessoas foram conduzidas à delegacia para os procedimentos cabíveis. A Polícia Militar não divulgou informações sobre as medidas adotadas em relação aos envolvidos, nem detalhou as acusações atribuídas individualmente a cada suspeito.
De acordo com a corporação, a Operação Agrogerais Segura 2026 tem como objetivo combater crimes ambientais, coibir a caça ilegal e retirar de circulação materiais que possam representar risco à fauna silvestre e à segurança da população.
A PM também reforçou a importância da participação da comunidade por meio de denúncias para auxiliar nas ações de fiscalização e prevenção de crimes.
