Entra em vigor nesta sexta-feira (21) uma nova regra que traz mudanças importantes para quem pretende solicitar benefícios da Previdência Social. A partir de agora a biometria será necessária para novos beneficiários do INSS. O objetivo é fortalecer o combate a fraudes, proteger dados dos cidadãos e garantir que os recursos cheguem a quem realmente tem direito.
No momento, a exigência é apenas para novos pedidos. Quem já é beneficiário terá um período de adaptação, com implementação gradual para evitar interrupções de pagamento. De acordo com o governo, caso seja identificada a necessidade de atualização biométrica, o cidadão será comunicado individualmente e com antecedência, sem qualquer impacto no recebimento do seu benefício.
Nesta primeira fase, serão aceitas as biometrias da Carteira de Identidade Nacional, da Carteira Nacional de Habilitação e do Título de Eleitor. A partir de primeiro de maio de 2026, quem solicitar um novo benefício e não possuir nenhuma biometria nos documentos oficiais aceitos precisará, emitir a Carteira de Identidade Nacional para dar andamento ao pedido.
Já a partir de janeiro de 2028, a Carteira Nacional de Identidade será o único documento com biometria aceito para todos os requerimentos e manutenções de benefícios no INSS.
